first viv stack build
Hi guys just thought i would share my first viv build, it has been varied from my original plans mainly due to size and weight but i think its coming along nicely, its for my leo's, there are 2 large vivs for the grps of females and 2 smaller vivs to keep the male separate and a spare incase someone needs a bit of space for egg laying etc
first pic is just start getting sides on, and keeping whole thing stable

next image is first divider being put in place, the roof/floor in middle section was put on after to allow the whole structure to be stabilised

so this is what i was talking about middle section being roof/floor has now been added, and with lower divider in place and attached strengthens viv

Next bit was the really tricky bit, to get the divided sections running parallel with each other and looking good we had to drill holes through the middle section into the lower divider and then add dowels and then drill holes into the uper divider and get it exactly the right distance and size so it would fit properly

the next pic shows that with a bit of gentle presuasion and a hammer we got the upper divider bolted into place with the dowels

after the episode with the dowels the rest of todays work was plain sailing next pic top on

next pic back on

and last pic is the supports in the viv added, which was also a little tricky but this was more down to being tired and measures not being done properly lol

thats it for today and hopefully will get the rest done over next couple of weeks, total cost was around £70, that was using 18mm WPB ply and 9mm ply for back, the whole thing was also sealed at every stage with wood glue.
bloody hard days work for a saturday but i really enjoyed it, and big thanks to my mate dave who helped me out
