However a couple of days ago Atlas very definitely had sex on his mind and made a number of valiant attempts to mate Inca. It was very similar to matings we have observed with our beardies. He grabbed her by the skin around her neck to pin her and then kicked with his leg to try and get her tail lifted. She definitely ...

I went last week to see a Yellowfoot, I have wanted one for quite a while.

What I saw shocked me, it was definately Wc and has not been captive for very long and around 20 years old.

It had been keep under the stairs, no garden with 3 others, one female and two redfoots

It was heartbreaking so whether I really wanted him or not, I took him, I call him Harry as in Potter.

I also took a redfoot, its very wheezy, It will take a while to sort these two out. Its very sad, taking tortoises from ...

I was shown a camera (link below) by someone and i thought it looked good and sounds like it has a lot of good features with it from what i know anyways

So...i went into a shop and asked could i hold it and try it out and i was allowed and it's really cool and easy to use, not only that but it turned ...

I posted a thread a few weeks ago in the Boa section titled "Still Waiting" in re. to our gravid BRB, due dates etc. I always figured the due date was sometime early September....then doubt was put in my mind by Warren re. POS...well this girl did shed around the 6/7 July, however, having looked through my photo library it certainly wasn't the POS, this particular shed occurred around Jack's birthday the 24 May....counting 100-120 days from the POS gives an approx due date ...

They're very placid & don't object at all to being handled although I've only done so to transfer them as I'm giving them time to settle in to the new enviroment although they are still in the same viv so hopefully it's not been too stressfull a change for them.

Here's a couple of simple shots of a babbling brook....you kind of get the effect of a flowing stretch of water....these phots shot at high F stop, to get as much depth of field and a slow shutter speed approx 1.3s....the longer the exposure the smoother the flow....

Other things useful....a tripod so the camera remains completely motionless through the exposure....a shutter release cable or wireless variant of the same for the same reason....oh, and a pair of wellies!!!

(puppies, kittens and other furries are regularly sold at car boot sales in N. Ireland).

A few pics of a pair of some of my Diapherodes Gigantea stick insects. The female is 7" long while the male is nearer 4". All are fed on thornless bramble, which they thrive on. This pair have just started to lay eggs in the last couple of weeks.

I picked up a new DSLR camera the afew weeks back, i had a good look around and did a bit of research first. I eventually decided on a Nikon D3000 with a twin lens bundle

It comes with a 4 GB memory card, 18-55mm VR Lens and a Tamron 70-300mm f4-5.6 Lens. The Tamron lens has a handy little switch on the side to switch between normal mode and macro mode. This is a fantastic package and a really simple camera to use, it can also produce some fantastic shots.

Here's a link to The package ...
