Black Spitter

Ok by now im pretty sure you guys have figured out i have a fondness for cobras so i hope you dont mind a few more piccies this is a Black neck spitting cobra just too bloody adorable

I have never seen a picture of this particular Cobra before but I have to say excellent shots. The colours on his throat are fantastic.

beautiful snake mate,
i didnt think the spitters would be comminly kept because of the odvious spitting abilty
you must have a good pair of goggles when your working with him??

I know a few people keeping spitting cobras - and breeding them!
They are beautiful, but not for me. Goggles necessary for sure!

I saw a documentary last yr where someone was working with a spitter with goggles on. His hair was sprayed but he didn't realise until it started to rain and the venom began to run into his eyes - ouch!

Beautiful shots by the way...I do love cobras :)

...yesss, some of vens are the most beautiful snakes but so are non vens too (black rat snakes etc.) - some of the cobras are truly amz (even I never would like to get none - too big and scary for me) snakes.
