A hedgehog Very Happy

or hedgepig as i like to call them but im totally clueless, could anyone help me??

id love to have everyones opinion on your hedgepigs and how they are as pets:P

It really depends on who you talk to. As with all animals they can bite but don't often at all. Most with regular handling will be as tame as a puppy but some don't need much interaction and others loads, it depends on the animal. Many people also seem to have their own opinion on set up, many keep them in Zoo Zones or the latest trend is vivs, both I STRONGLY disagree with even with adjustments based on my experience and more importantly study and knowledge put in.

One thing I tell everyone is NO hog should be kept without a wheel, a basic set up with one hide and food/water bowl leads to a mentally unstable hog. They can & do become depressed. They will come to their names or you calling them and like a routine diet wise. I could write all day about them but don't have the time right now plus I would try to put everything down which would take a long long time.

I shall be in Ballymeena in two weeks time with some hogs and can meet for a while if this helped in anyway.
